Each
year Coventry
is brought to life in the festive season when the Christmas Lights Switch On
takes over and lights up the city in one of the biggest occasions in
Coventry’s calendar and has been known to attract more than 25,000 people into the city centre.
In previous years spectators have been dazzled by the carnival atmosphere, colour and energy of the magical winter carnival procession, as well as the unbeatable entertainment, celebrity appearances and music on the stages.
This year (2010) the crowds were treated to appearances from The Hoosiers,
CBBC stars Sam and Mark, Melissa Walton from Hollyoaks, Debbie Isitt and the
child stars from the festive smash film Nativity!
